Do you know that subtle chill of being watched?
The sense that something lingers, unseen,
A presence brushing close but out of sight.
Is it warmth that wraps you gently—
Or does fear curl in your chest?

This mixed media installation amplifies, questions, and challenges the feeling of fear. Inspired by the mysterious and sometimes ominous atmosphere of Fort Penningsveer, the work invites viewers to pause and reflect on their own fears, and consider how they might explain and overcome them.
Through the use of life-size painted sculptures, light, and space, an immersive experience is created that explores the boundary between the known and the unknown. The viewer is drawn into a world where the sensation of presence—whether visible or invisible—constantly lurks. The installation raises questions about the origins of fear and how it takes root in the psyche, with the aim of fostering deeper reflection and personal growth.
